The Fractured Atlas of Jelara #13 Dynastic Vantage

This illustration was completed just in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is reflected in the celebratory ribbons drifting through the air and the lanterns rising in the background. The composition was originally shorter, but my teacher recommended extending the lower portion to better establish that the princess is seated on a rooftop. As a result, I invested additional time in developing the architectural details, though I simplified many elements to maintain clarity.

Narratively, this scene follows Scene #12: after being lifted by the holographic giant, the princess is placed on the rooftop, uncertain of where to go next. A cat emerging from the shadows becomes the key guide for her journey. Because the illustration contains multiple light sources, there may be minor inconsistencies in the light and shadow on the princess. Nonetheless, I made every effort to balance these elements while preserving the intended atmosphere.
